ICDE Global Doctoral Symposium 2025

November 10, 2025 at 0900 - 1700 (local time NZDT)

Connect and learn from fellow peers and experts

Welcome to the ICDE Symposium at the 30th ICDE World Conference! We invite students and peers within the field of inclusive education to apply to participate, connect and learn from each other.

There will be presentations and feedback for student participants, guest speakers with expertise in the field and the opportunity to gain advice from some key members of the ICDE community. All symposium participants are also invited to join in a pre-conference reception to continue their networking with all conference participants.

Who can attend?

The Symposium is open to current PhD/EDd students and researchers who are working on a topic related to inclusive, sustainable and scalable education. There are limited spaces for this event.

Apply for a Travel Grant by 25 April

We are excited to also announce ICDE Global Doctoral Consortium Core Partner, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), as the Symposium’s Gold Sponsor. Thanks to the contribution by HBMSU, we are able to offer the chance to apply for financial aid support for symposium participants’ travel costs to the event.

Grant Eligibility

The grants will be distributed to chosen eligible members of the ICDE Global Doctoral Consortium by the selection criteria below, approved by the ICDE World Conference 2025 Organizing Committee

Students from disadvantaged backgrounds who contribute to a diverse demographic distribution and wide range of relevant research topics will be prioritised. Doctoral students with accepted papers at the conference will also have an additional priority.
Not all participants will receive financial support.
