ICDE welcomes all PhD/EdD students, candidates and experts within the Open, Flexible and Distance Learning (OFDL) field to our next interactive GDC session!
Register below for this virtual event on Microsoft Teams hosted by ICDE GDC Core Partner, University of South Africa (UNISA). This event is open to all.
Session topic: The impact of student networks and the ICDE GDC
UNISA, the founder of the GDC concept, will present key voices from previous GDC participants. They will share their own experiences and key lessons from international collaboration and networks, and help current participants utilise this special community.
The session will be lead by Professor Mpine Makoe, UNISA.
The speakers include:
- Dr Janet Rangou from the Western Pacific University, New Papua Guinea
- Dr Mary Ooko from the University of Pretoria, South Africa
- Dr Aberra Tsige from the Unisa Regional Centre, Ethiopia
Presenter: Professor Mpine Makoe, Executive Dean of the College of Education and a research professor at UNISA. She was a holder of the Commonwealth of Learning chair in Open Education Resources/Practices and the ICDE OER ambassador. She has worked on numerous commissioned ODL related research projects for CoL, UNESCO, British Council, the Council for Higher Education.
