Get nominated for a UNESCO Prize

As an NGO in consultative partnership with UNESCO, ICDE can endorse or nominate candidates for prestigious UNESCO awards. We currently invite ICDE members to nominate candidates for the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development.

UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development 2023-2024

Deadline for submission to ICDE Secretariat: 15 October 2023

The UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development was created to support the improvement of teaching and learning quality in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 4 on education, and is awarded every two years.

The Prize amounts to US $300,000, which is equally divided between three winners whose projects aim at improving worldwide the performance and effectiveness of teachers worldwide.

Candidates must receive a nomination letter from an NGO in order to complete their application. Find out more about the prize and the full nomination process.
