Candidates for the ICDE Board 2024-2027
Elections for the ICDE Board 2024 – 2027 will take place between 19 September – 23 October 2023. The eligible candidates are listed below.

The term of office of three present members of the ICDE Board comes to an end on 31 December 2023.
These members are: Mark Nichols (Institutional), Som Naidu (Institutional), and Carlos Alberto P. de Oliveria (Individual).
The other three members of the present ICDE Board, whose terms continue until the end of 2025, are Neil Fassina (President), Melinda Bandalaria, and Ebba Ossiannilsson.
Institutional Candidates
There are two institutional seats up for election this year.
ICDE Institutional Members can vote for these two seats.
The candidates are (in alphabetical order):
- Eleni Simeou Askim – Flexible Education Norway, Norway
- Yaping Gao – Quality Matters, USA
- Velia Govaere – Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED), Costa Rica
- Mpine Makoe – University of South Africa, South Africa
- Carlos Morales – Tarrant County College, USA
- Mark Nichols – Open Polytechnic | Te PÅ«kenga, New Zealand
Individual Candidates
There is one individual seat up for election this year.
ICDE Individual Members can vote for this seat.
The candidates are (in alphabetical order):

Voting process
Voting opens 19 September and closes 23 October 2023.
Only ICDE members with no outstanding membership fees are eligible to vote. Voting instructions will be sent to all valid members on 19 September.
