About the speaker
Dr. Ron Owston is Research Associate, AI in Higher Education at Contact North | Contact Nord.
He leads Contact North I Contact Nord’s development of a series of major AI in Higher Education digital assistants, including AI Tutor Pro and AI Teaching Assistant Pro.
He is also a University Professor Emeritus, former Dean of the Faculty of Education, and founding Director of the Institute for Research in Learning Technologies at York University in Toronto, Canada.
A pioneer in teaching and learning with the web since its early days, Dr. Owston specializes in the evaluation of technology-based educational programs across multiple sectors. His extensive body of work includes numerous publications in top-tier journals and significant contributions to the field of blended learning in higher education.
