ICDE Secretary General speaks at the International Forum on ICT and Education 2030,  on global facilitation for inclusive, flexible, quality learning and teaching in the digital age

The ICDE Secretary General participated together with more than 400 delegates from 80 countries at the International Forum on ICT and Education 2030 organised by UNESCO from 10 to 11 July 2017 in Qingdao, the People's Republic of China.

The main focus of the Forum was to harness information and communication technologies (ICTs) to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) for Education 2030. He suggested in his presentation that the Qingdao statement and stakeholders should commit to actions. The presentation can be viewed here.

The Secretary General who also sits on the board of the of the UNESCO IITE took the opportunity together with the Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University and Governing Board Chairman of the UNESCO IITE and its new director, Mr Tao Zahn to met with the President of the 38th session of the General Conference, Mr Stanley Mutumba Simataa.
