Call for participation: Share student feedback approaches with the Open University

The Open University, UK currently runs a module based survey to gather feedback from new and continuing students on their study experience, the survey used satisfaction type statements and is offered to all students at module completion. As part of a current review process they are looking to identify good practice within the higher education open and distance sector, regarding student feedback approaches at both a modular and qualification level.

Whilst general HE good practice is relevant, the diversity and complexities of our student population,  has highlighted the value of exploring whether colleagues in a more comparable institutional setting have examples and approaches they could usefully share with them.

The Open University UK hopes to develop a fairly light touch survey instrument, which can be flexibly applied through the academic student journey and will gather feedback on both the academic study experience and study support services.
