28th ICDE World Conference Update
As over 300 delegates from around the world attended this week’s Life-long Learning Summit in Lillehammer, Norway, the team at Dublin City University (DCU) has been busy with preparations for the ICDE World Conference on Online Learning later in the year.
Earlier today, for example, they hosted the first of several webinars planned to assist authors and presenters in preparing conference submissions that address the conference themes. The webinar also provided an opportunity for prospective delegates to ask more general questions about the conference. If you missed today’s webinar a link to the recording will be available via Twitter (@WCOL2019) and on the conference website. Also you can still participate in the next webinar scheduled for later in the month. See details below:
Date: Wednesday 27th February (9.30 to 10.30am GMT)
On other conference news the local Dublin team is delighted to announce that a number of partner associations and organisations has agreed to officially support this year’s ICDE World Conference. We expect to make further announcements over the next few weeks but currently the official partners for the ICDE World Conference on Online Learning include:
• Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU)partner associations
• Association for Learning Technology (ALT)
• Commonwealth of Learning (CoL)
• European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU)
• European Distance and eLearning Network (EDEN)
• Flexible Learning Association of New Zealand (FLANZ)
• Irish Learning Technology Association (ILTA)
• Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia (ODLAA)
• Online Learning Consortium (OLC)
We greatly value their support as the high level of interest and spread of partner organisations from around the globe is further evidence of the truly world status of this year’s conference. If your local or regional association would like to become an official conference partner, or your institution or organisation one of our family of sponsors, then please contact the Conference Chair, Professor Mark Brown, firstname.lastname@example.org
Lastly, this is just a reminder that the submission date for papers is quickly approaching. So make sure you submit something before the 1st March deadline, especially if you want the opportunity to share your ideas and innovations with many of the world’s leading educators working in the area.
