Membership fee Institutions

You apply for membership according to your institutions budget.  Institutions that have a smaller part of students in distance education can calculate their reference budget based on the share of distance or online learning compared to the total budget for the institution. How to calculate the fee for teaching institutions which do not offer predominantly open, distance or online courses

Note: Educational service companies may apply for institutional membership.

Important notes

  • High-income countries or other countries - Institutions and individuals from low-income, lower-middle-income and upper-middle-income economies according to World Bank Country income criteria receive a discounted rate, as shown in the 'other countries' table. 
  • Applications for institutional membership received during the period 1 April - 31 December are eligible for an additional discount equivalent to the number of months of the year already passed. The date of approval of an institution's or educational authority's application will apply. 
  • All members are invoiced by November to pay their membership fee for the upcoming year by the end of December.
  • By completing and submitting the membership application form, the applicant enters into a commitment to pay the appropriate membership fee for one year. Any existing member which does not pay the renewal fee within one year of invoice will have their member status withdrawn and will be liable to pay the unpaid fees. To withdraw from the membership of ICDE, a member must notify ICDE in writing of their intention to do so by the last day of June of the year preceding the new calendar year.  Otherwise, the membership fee becomes a debt to ICDE.     
  • Institutional membership fees must be paid by bank transfer. If this was proven impossible, please contact the ICDE secretariat at icde@icde.org.
