These pages aim to provide an overview of important journals in the field of open and distance education.

The criteria for inclusion are generally:
i) the journal is closely related to the field of open and distance education; ii) the international reach of the journal; iii) the journal is peer reviewed.

A comprehensive list of education journals providing full-text access to all articles, or at least summaries of articles, and accessible without cost, can be found on the UNESCO website.

A similar list can also be found on the DE Hub Database of Research on Distance Education. This searchable web database contains details of 6,265 books, articles, conference papers and reports on various aspects of distance education and distance learning. Access to these texts varies, with some offering open access while others require registration or payment.
