OPAL Oxford Debate

12 to 24 October 2011
Online on UNESCO’s WSIS-OER platform

The Open Educational Quality Initiative (OPAL), a European consortium of which seven organizations including ICDE, UNESCO and ICDE member institution, the Open University UK are partners, will be holding an Oxford Debate on Open Educational Practices (OEP).

This online debate will take place from 12 to 24 October 2011 on UNESCO’s WSIS-OER platform.

The topic of this second OPAL Oxford Debate will be, Would mainstreaming the use of Open Educational Practices (OEP) really transform education?

The OPAL Oxford Debate will focus on the concept of OEP policies, as well as on policy-making in monitoring and spear-heading adoption of such policies in institutions using open educational resources (OER).
