New UNESCO-COL Chair in ODL

Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe, Vice-Chancellor of ICDE member institution the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has been named a UNESCO-COL Chair in Open and Distance Learning.

The UNESCO Chairs Programme was conceived as a way to advance research, training and programme development in all of UNESCO’s fields of competence by building university networks and encouraging inter-university cooperation through the transfer of knowledge across borders. Distinguished serving academics across the world are designated as Honorary Chairs with a national or regional remit to co-operate with national agencies and educational institutions in conducting studies, surveys, research and training on open and distance learning (ODL) and technology-mediated education at all levels.
