The First UNESCO Mobile Learning Week in partnership with Nokia will facilitate discussions on, and the discovery and exchange of creative ideas about how to use mobile technologies to transform
educational processes and outcomes.

Officials from Ministries of Education, international experts and practitioners in mobile learning, as well as representatives from major partners in the field have been invited to share innovative ways of learning with, and through, mobile technologies, and of using them to achieve the Education for All goals and improve the quality of education.
The symposium to be held 15-16 December will explore how mobile phones can help in the achievement of the Education for All goals and how they can transform educational processes and outcomes and includes keynotes from:

- Paul Kim, Stanford University, USA
- Mike Sharples, University of Nottingham, UK
- Eric Klopfer, MIT, USA
