ICDE Policy Forum Report on collaboration

A Policy Forum was held at the recent Standing Conference of Presidents meeting in New York City, USA, to explore ways in which ICDE could ensure quality in cross-border inter-institutional collaborations. This report summarizes discussions and recommendations from participating ICDE members.

24th ICDE World Conference updates including free tours

The deadline for the submission of full papers for the 24th ICDE World Conference, 2-5 October in Bali, Indonesia, has been extended to 22 August. Host institution Universitas Terbuka is pleased to announce that participants will be able to take advantage of a complementary one-day tour.

Open Educational Resources keynotes and social activities at ICDE World Conference

Day three of the 24th ICDE World Conference will focus on Open Educational Resources (OER). Rory McGreal of Athabasca University, Canada, will join Gráinne Conole from the University of Leicester, UK, for the keynote presentation. A panel discussion will follow with perspectives from China, Latin America, South Africa, and from publishing. The evening gala dinner, lunches and coffee breaks are included in the registration fee.

EADTU Annual Conference 2011

ICDE member institution the Commonwealth of Learning recently published A Basic Guide to Open Educational Resources (OER) in collaboration with UNESCO. The book, which in available to download online, is a guide to understanding the use, potential and issues related to OER.

HBMeU 2012 Congress call for abstracts

The abstract submission deadline for next year's HBMeU Annual Congress has been extended to 30 September 2011. The HBMeU Annual Congress which acts as an international platform for three conferences on Quality, e-Health and Environment and e-Learning, will be held 30 January - 2 February 2012, in Dubai, UAE.

A forthcoming session entitled, Finding and Using OER: The Where and the When will take place online on 17 August at 15.00 EST.

Going Global 2012 call for proposals
