University of the Sunshine Coast joins ICDE

ICDE extends a warm welcome to a new member from the southern hemisphere, the University of the Sunshine Coast from Queensland, Australia.

 
Founded in 1996, USC now has 7,500 students, 12 percent from overseas, and is Australia’s fastest-growing university, with plans to double enrolments in the next decade.

USC has received five stars for teaching quality and staff qualifications in the Good Universities Guide 2010 and has been consistently recognised with Australian Learning and Teaching Council awards.

More than 100 degrees and postgraduate programs are delivered through the faculties of Business; Arts and Social Sciences; and Health, Science and Education. Research focuses on sustainability, regional engagement and health, with established excellence in climate change adaptation, aquaculture, tropical forestry, and sport and exercise.

In its short history, the University has made a significant impact on the economic and cultural development of the Sunshine Coast region.
