The highlight of the meeting will be a keynote presentation by Dr. Xavier Sala-i-Martín, Professor of Economics at Columbia University, New York and Senior Economic Advisor to the World Economic Forum, Davos.

Workshops will also be held on the themes of Quality upgrading, New entrepreneurship, Employability and lifelong learning, and Leading innovative approaches to the financial crisis.

SCOP 2009 will be hosted by Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and will be held 20-21 November 2009 in Barcelona, Spain.
