BTVU is an open university dedicated to distance education through the media of radio, television, the Internet, textbooks and audio-video textbooks. The University has 20 branches and 33 work stations and learning centres in district centres and rural areas, and employs 1,900 staff, 815 of whom are full-time teachers.
