The Message from Maastricht
The conclusions of the 23rd ICDE World Conference including the EADTU Annual Conference will be presented on Saturday, 13
June, 09.00-10.30.
Presenting the message will be Carl Holmberg, ICDE, Fredric Litto, Brazilian Association for Distance Education – ABED and Executive Committee Member - ICDE, Nicholas H. Allen, University of Maryland University College, USA and Piet Hendrikx, EADTU.

Fredric Litto to deliver closing plenary
Fredric Litto will deliver a keynote presentation on the final day of the conference with a paper entitled Innovation in Distance Learning? I Can't Define It, But I Know It When I See It!
The closing plenary will be held on Saturday, 13 June, 12.30-14.00.
Fredric Litto will also take part in the Keynotes’ Panel on Friday, 12 June, 11.30-13.00.
Fredric Litto is Professor and Head of the Research Laboratory „Escola do Futuro” at the University of São Paulo, Executive
Committee Member of ICDE, and President of the Brazilian Association for Distance Education.
Carl Holmberg to chair quality workshop
Carl Holmberg, Secretary General of ICDE, Sven-Olof Larsson, Municipality of Söderhamn, Sweden and Thomas Fischer, Institute
for Learning Innovation (FIM - NewLearning), Germany will run a workshop entitled Quality Assurance Network for Adult Learning Centres in a Modern Community.
The workshop will be held on Friday, 12 June, 14.30-16.00.
