Invitation to Policy Forum on OER at UNESCO

UNESCO and the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) extend an open invitation to attend a Policy Forum on Open Educational Resources (OER) next month in Paris, France, within the framework of the UNESCO-COL initiative, “Taking OER beyond the OER community: Policy and Capacity”.

 

The UNESCO-COL OER Policy Forum will examine the results of the “Taking OER beyond the OER community” initiative and create strategies for next steps. Decision makers in governments, institutions and funding bodies will contribute to a strategy to move forward OER and the open content movement in order to promote quality education.

The OER Policy Forum will be held on Wednesday, 1 December 2010 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France.
