'Changing education for a changing world' is the proposition of Going Global 2012. Given the rapidly growing world population, which recently passed the seven billion mark, next year's Going Global conference aims to investigate how we can ensure access to education for a global society. The conference will discuss how radical this vision must be, if traditional institutions are equipped to create it, and how to make the move from vision to reality.
Going Global 2012 has three themes: The future world; The connected world; and Winners and losers
Conference sessions
The international perspective of the conference is evident in the range of sessions planned for the event. Among the sessions confirmed are:
- Pre-conference session: UK-India Forum: Fostering research cooperation to build capacity
- Great expectations: Delivering internationally relevant domestic strategies through capacity, cooperation, collaboration and consultation
- Future of China’s education market – more open or stricter control
- India excellence initiative: role of global partnerships in research and innovation
