The Global University Network for Innovation (GUNI) has announced the theme for its upcoming conference; Higher Education's
Commitment to Sustainability: from Understanding to Action.
The conference aims to deepen the conceptual definition of the lines of change in higher education to respond to the challenges
of sustainability, as well as to identify ways for action. It offers a collective work dynamic and opportunity for active
participation. With this idea, a call for good practices on Higher Education and Sustainability has been launched. For further

There will also be an online forum in order to debate and prepare the material that will be worked on in the conference. The aim is to extend the scope of the GUNI Conference by giving voice to individuals and institutions from around the world.

The GUNI Poll, posted on-line, consists of a list of barriers that HE systems and institutions need face in order to make
feasible their commitment to sustainability. Participants have the chance, previous the Conference, to choose the most important
barriers (according to their context) to transform HE systems to contribute to sustainability paradigm.
