The Open University of Israel is open to all those who wish to study a single course or a battery of courses, or to pursue a full program of study toward a Bachelor's degree. A course at the Open University is first and foremost a printed scholarly or scientific work: one or more volumes written and produced especially for Open University students. Thus, learning at the Open University is first of all self-study from written material. The Open University also makes use of advanced technologies to improve its distance teaching with most courses having course websites on the internet.
