DE Hub was established in 2009 as a research consortium between the University of New England (UNE), Charles Sturt University (CSU), Central Queensland University (CQUniversity), the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), and Massey University. DE Hub serves as a central research institute for investigation into best practices in distance education. DE Hub also serves as an online agency for the dissemination of information on best practices for the Australian higher education sector.
