The project will:
- Study and map quality approaches and methods and link them to OEP in order to provide Guidelines for Quality and Innovation
- Launch the European Consultative Group for Quality and Innovation to form a multi-stakeholder validation environment, and contribute a chapter on quality and innovation to existing international networks
- Establish the EU Open Educational Quality Clearinghouse in which peer-reviewed OER will be linked with OEP. This body will serve as a register for organizations which want to join the European Charter for Quality and Innovation
- Launch a European Award for Innovation and Quality through OER for both higher education and adult education
Key objectives are:
- To contribute to the development of quality lifelong learning
- To help improve the quality, attractiveness and accessibility of the opportunities for lifelong learning
- To reinforce the contribution of lifelong learning to social cohesion
- To contribute to increased participation in lifelong learning by people of all ages
- To support the development of innovative ICT-based content, services, pedagogies and practices
- To promote co-operation in quality assurance in all sectors of education and training
- To identify outstanding open educational practices, products and processes through self-assessment and peer-review, and ensure availability
