UNESCO news - digital technology innovators awarded

The most promising global innovators in digital technologies were recognized at the 4th Netexplorateur Forum on 3-4 February 2011 at UNESCO Headquarters. Their innovations are commended for creating new forms of education, communication, information, solidarity and management around the globe.

The Netexplorateur Forum showcases the top 100 new and emerging trends in the use of digital technology over the previous year, selected by a network of experts from around the globe. Organized by the international observatory Netexplorateur, an organization providing information on the global digital revolution, the Forum is centred on the uses as well as on the cultural and social phenomenon of the Web. This year the Forum was hosted at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France.
