UNESCO Prize for teachers

UNESCO is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the second edition of the UNESCO-Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers.

Every two years, the UNESCO Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum prize rewards candidates from around the world who have demonstrated an outstanding contribution, through their teacher-related activities, to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. The prize aims to support, encourage and benefit those working to improve the quality of teaching towards Education for All. It attaches particular importance to outstanding practices in developing countries and aims to facilitate the global sharing of best practices regarding teachers.

The prize of USD 270,000, which will be divided between three winners, should go towards building upon and enhancing the outstanding practice rewarded.
