Open Ed 2010, which took place 2-4 November, was an international conference jointly organized by the Open University of Catalunya, the Open University of the Netherlands, and the David O. McKay School of Education at Brigham Young University.
Open Ed 2010 Proceedings
The main topic of the conference was OER: Impact and Sustainability.The book includes papers from over 50 contributers exploring numerous issues and ideas within this theme. Open Ed 2010 was an opportunity for participants to learn about Open Education projects around the world; how they are designed, implemented and sustained, what the different communities of learners need to allow OER projects to become a transforming engine for education, and facilitating greater access to education. Many of these inovative ideas and discussions can now be found in the book.
