Distance Education Association of Southern Africa (DEASA)

Operating in the countries of Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland, DEASA is a framework of service, research and innovation aimed at promoting a positive culture in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in the region and beyond.

Aims:

Contribute towards higher professionalism and the advancement of distance education and to share capacity building initiatives in SADC member states.

To share information and exchange ideas on the delivery of distance and open learning programmes, share learning materials in identified areas of need.

To collaborate with governmental and non-governmental organisations to promote quality distance education and open learning in the region.
