The City University of New York is an urban public university serving more than 480,000 students at 23 colleges and institutions in New York City. The University’s 23 institutions include 11 senior colleges, six community colleges, the William E. Macaulay Honors College at CUNY, the Graduate School and University Center, the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, the CUNY School of Law, the CUNY School of Professional Studies, and the CUNY School of Public Health. Serving more than 243,000 degree-credit students and 273,000 continuing and professional education students, the University confers 35,000 degrees each year - more than 1.1 million associate, baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degrees since 1967.
