Bavarian Virtual University, Germany

Pauhl Rühl, Managing Director, from member institution Bavarian Virtual University recently visited the ICDE Secretariat in Oslo, Norway to discuss the development of Distance Education in Europe.

The Bavarian Virtual University (BVH) is a network of universities and universities of applied sciences in the Free State of Bavaria, Germany.

The BVU was founded in 2000 and provides online-courses with an equivalent of two to six credit points (by European Credit Transfer System) which the member universities can integrate into their courses of study.

The BVH enables its member universities to enlarge and enrich their programmes, and it also helps the students to organize their studies in a more flexible way.
