2010 International Distance Education Advanced Forum

Jointly organised by ICDE member institution the Open Univeristy, UK, and Peking University, China, the 2010 International Distance Education Advanced Forum will explore new missions, new opportunities and new challenges to distance education in its future development.

   

The 2010 International Distance Education Advanced Forum will be held 10-11 October 2010 in Beijing, China. It will provide an opportunity for in-depth discussions on the current situation and the latest theories on distance education in higher education, career training, basic education, community and rural education. Through examining distance education practice and showcasing the latest research results the forum aims to promote academic innovation and the practical development of distance education.

The key themes of the forum are forward-looking, leading, open, and pioneering.

Topics include:

  • The role and strategy of distance education in the learning society
  • Innovation theory and practice of online teaching and learning
  • Management innovation and change in distance education

Those attending are also invited to present at the forum. The presentation submission deadline is 30 July and should relate to one of the three forum topics.

Registration deadline is 30 August.
