What has been the most  promising development within ODL in your region in 2011?

Large number of participants  at the 3^rd African Council for Distance Education Conference and General  Assembly  hosted by the Open University of  Tanzania in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania with over 108 abstracts  and  59 full paper presentations by participants   coupled with the presentations  by 14 Ministers of Education  across the regions of Africa  is marvelously a clear demonstration  that  there is hope  in the effort  made  to provide access to Education through  ODL and  an indication that ODL  has become an acceptable mode of  providing Quality Education in  Africa.

Where do the main challenges lie in your region?

Provision of ICT facilities to be accessible to every learner with internet connectivity  at minimum cost  across the five regions of Africa would have  made teaching and  learning  easier and very flexible.
